Rolling and Rerolling

Each turn begins with five dice. You may roll them up to three times, setting aside any dice you want to keep and rerolling the rest. That decision—which dice to hold and which to send back—is the main moment-to-moment choice. After the final roll, you must assign the result to one open category on the scorecard. If the dice do not match that category, you score zero for it.

The Scorecard Structure

The scorecard has two halves. The upper section contains six boxes, one for each die face. Scoring three 4s in the fours box, for example, gives 12 points. The lower section holds three of a kind, four of a kind, full house, small straight, large straight, Yahtzee (five of a kind), and chance. Each category can be used only once across the 13 rounds, so every assignment permanently closes an option.

Why the Bonus Changes Decisions

Score 63 or more points across the six upper-section boxes and you earn a 35-point bonus. That target works out to an average of three of each number. Chasing it forces you to commit early to certain numbers, which can leave weaker categories for later. Players who ignore the bonus often find themselves with a comfortable lower section but a thin upper total.

Playing Solo or With Others

The game supports online play with friends or solo sessions. No download is required, and rounds move quickly because each turn is limited to three rolls and one category choice. The rules are simple enough for beginners, but the scoring trade-offs reward repeated play.
